Players will earn in-game credits by playing the game, which can be used to upgrade a created athlete's stats, buy new clothing or gear, or earn new players for their created teams by purchasing card packs. Players negotiate contracts to be ambassadors of these brands in the M圜areer portion of the game, gaining virtual fans as a side effect of these promotions. The most significant concern parents might have is the amount of branding continually being pushed throughout the game, including Nike, Gatorade, Beats, Express clothes, and more. The game doesn't include any inappropriate content, but players can be exposed to offensive comments in online play.

This is a game, with competitive game modes. You could have games where you inexplicably could 8/10 on rather garbage shot selection from midrange, due to lucky rngs, or have 2-3 games going sub 50%, as low as 20-30% on great shot selection. the rng in regards to this, has become a LOT more apparent as opposed to the initial iteration of 2k19's shooting mechanic. good basketball plays, like 1-2 dribbles and losing a matchup behind a screen/after a pumpfake, for a wide-open 5 to 7ft middie jumper are no longer rewarded with concistency. The most blatant change, however, was the degree to which the midrange %s were adjusted to. the game needed that, i advocated for it. 3 pointers were no longer as surefire as they used to be, when taken by non-3pt shooter builds, even if wide open - which was a fair enough change. Post-shooting patches (introduced shortly after a launch, within a span of 1-2 weeks), fg%s were lowered across the board, open shots especially (similarly to what they did in 2k18, at a higher rate however). it was not enough anymore, to simply trail a shooter, or stand 2-3 ft off to the side and idle, to force a miss. so depending on a wee-bit of luck, you could make up to 70-90% of your shots with straight consistency, if they were wide open. in return, you were also very likely to make a unusual high % of your shots, if your positioning, respective shot attribute/badges and release was great. When the game (2k19) dropped, shot makes correlated a lot more with user timing, meaning shots were likely to brick if you messed timing up by a quarter and released too soon or too late - EVEN if you had great positioning (like open off of a fastbreak for a close-range jumper). especially off the catch and/or on a fastbreak, but that's about the extent of it and that is what they had gotten rid of earlier on in 2k19. in 2k18, close midrange shots went in by default. Maybe ur just used to the previous 2ks where it was rare to miss a mid range. This year they have changed it to be way more skill based and shot timing matters why more.
